Ryan Moody is a director, producer, and editor with over a billion YouTube views across his career. His work spans film, television, and digital media, blending cinematic storytelling with the creative agility of modern content production.
At America’s Test Kitchen, Ryan served as Managing Producer, directing, producing, and editing food and travel series across broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms. He directed the Gold Telly Award-winning and IACP-nominated travel series Cook’s Country: On the Road as well as The Taste Test, one of the brand’s highest-performing YouTube series. As an editor, he crafted series such as Techniquely with Lan Lam and What’s Eating Dan, helping define ATK’s distinctive digital voice. Ryan also managed the creative teams responsible for Cook Mode and ATK Classes, overseeing the production of more than 160 original video assets annually for PBS, YouTube, Pluto TV, and the America’s Test Kitchen app. He developed and launched the Apple Top 25 podcast In The Test Kitchen, which earned a Signal Award nomination for Best Food Podcast.
Before joining ATK, Ryan was Co-Executive Producer at Mythical Entertainment, where he co-created Mythical Kitchen, the company’s first spin-off brand. He built the studio, assembled the production team, and led creative direction across YouTube, TikTok, and podcasting. He also co-created and produced the hit food podcast A Hot Dog Is A Sandwich, which received Signal and Webby nominations. During his time at Mythical, Ryan oversaw brand integrations with Kroger, PepsiCo, and DoorDash, helping expand the brand’s reach into the food and lifestyle space.
Earlier in his career, Ryan was a Producer and Editor at Studio71, where he created digital content for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Will Smith, and Shay Mitchell. He led branded campaigns for Disney, Under Armour, Netflix, Biore, and Sanpellegrino, resulting in more than 350 million combined YouTube views and establishing him as a creative leader in branded entertainment.
Ryan began his career as a filmmaker after earning his master’s degree in directing from UCLA’s School of Theater, Film, and Television, where he served as President of the Student Directors Association. His narrative films screened at over 30 film festivals worldwide, earning eight awards for writing and direction.
Now based in Cincinnati, Ryan and his wife, writer-producer Jackie Moody, run Mariemont Media, a boutique production company specializing in narrative, documentary, and branded storytelling. Together, they are developing their feature film No Thanks, a Thanksgiving dramedy that won the Audience Award at the Cindependent Film Festival and was recognized as a Second Rounder at the Austin Film Festival.
